Analysis of different fonts

Smack™
This font is from the Scary catergory . It is known as the smack family font.

With it being inside of the scary catergory we obviously staright awqay link it wit horror due to the horrors being scary movie productions.

Going into depeer detail inside of the font it is very scary itself. This is due to the style of it seeming like it has been written with a pen. This is because it looks like the pen has splat over the page showing frustration or brutal movements. Also with the use of someying splating over the page it could demonstrate blood wich straight away could allow the audience to know that a killer is involved just from the font of the tittles.

This allows the movie to begin to set a scene and people may begin to get scared just from the titles coming up and showing a very brutal kind of writing. The writing also seems very messy and not neat which could be seen as rushed which again links with connotations of frantic behaviour inside of horror movies.

This font from Fonts.com is of the Grunge category. Grunge is considered a very dark and 'dreay' kind of culture and so fits in with the horror film genre. The font itself looks like it has been done on a typewriter which is an old device and we consider old things in horror films scary and mysterious which would tie the audience in. The font i wavy and curvy and looks worn away and this could give the audience the idea that there used to be a story behind it and due to curiosity, thy will want to watch. This font would be good for horror films that maybe consist of a =murder or something old, like a house. Overall, I think this font is perfect for our horror VICINI since it would go well with the business like manor of the main character.
